I’ve (finally) dual-booted with Windows and Ubuntu Intrepid on my rather old PC. Since I do not see any upgrade boons cast my way by ze gods I’ll probably have to last out this year with this.
I’m using the Windows OS for nasm and DJGPP. We’ve got programming in C this semester, so it’s going to come in handy. Though the college uses Borland’s IDE for C. I’ll use GCC when on Linux.
On Ubuntu it’s mainly going to be secure Net surfing (yay! Bugger them resource-hogging anti virii!! ). And my first steps at interfacing with Tkinter. I’ve learnt the Python language somewhat but syntax errors keep cropping up.
I’ll be recording my progress on the independent pursuits as well as college stuff through this year.
